Greetings Cory Cougars, my name is Kimberly Nagel!

I want to provide the families and community with a brief synopsis of my teaching background, experience and a bit about who I am. I spent 20 years teaching in the Early Childhood Education field and was a group Lead Pre-K teacher at Warren Village in Denver for 10 of those years. I earned my Directors certification in ECE in 2006. I also owned and operated my own in-home childcare for several years. I then was granted the United Way LEARN scholarship in 2010 and returned to Metropolitan State University to complete my teaching licensure. I was fortunate enough to spend the 2014-2015 school year completing my field experience and student teaching for my degree and licensure here at Cory Elementary. I worked the entire school year in Mrs. Golden’s third-grade classroom. Last school year, I was fortunate to be offered, and accept a job at Cory as the Site Technology Rep, the School Assessment Leader and a Paraprofessional in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade with Ms. Vertrees, Ms. Keppler and Mr. Osborn.

I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 6 years and we have one son, Miles, who is 4 years old. We blissfully welcomed our daughter, Avery, in June. In my spare time, I love to read and run 5Ks and marathons with my brother.

Again, I cannot express how ecstatic and overjoyed I am to continue my journey here at Cory. If you have any questions or simply want to shake hands and chat, please feel free to stop me in the halls or drop by my classroom! I am looking so forward to meeting all of you, and I am so excited to continue to be a part of the Cory Crew!
