Aloha! My name is Brendan Doyle, and I am thrilled to be teaching in 1st grade at Cory Elementary! I am a 2012 honors graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, holding a degree in elementary education and behavioral science with an emphasis in sociology. I was the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Elementary Education Student Award from the School of Professional Studies at Metro, an award that is given to one student every school year. I also hold a degree in photography from the Art Institute of Colorado.
Prior to college, I attended Denver School of the Arts where I focused on Vocal Music. During the summers and school breaks I spend my time teaching theatre for the Denver Center Theatre Academy, where I am celebrating my 17th year. I love bringing the performing arts into the classroom and try to incorporate the arts into my instruction wherever possible. I like to consider myself a true teaching artist.
This will mark my 13th year working for DPS, and my 11th year here at Cory. I live here in Denver with my cat, Oscar and my dog, Jean-Luc and my partner, Robert. I spend many vacations in the Hawaiian Islands and traveling to other exciting locales. I look forward to working with you and your student!
