Discovery Link Families
Our team values your thoughts and ideas on how we are supporting your child, as well as your perspective on how we can improve. To gather your feedback, we are asking you to complete a 2 minute feedback form. Your responses will always be kept confidential, and we only ask you to identify the program and school that your child attends so that we can understand the opportunities for improvement for each program. Fill out the feedback form to help us improve how we support your child. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
From Mrs. Miller: News from the Library/Computer Lab
Check out a great project from Cory’s 5th graders. Click on the room 201, 202, and 206 links on the left to see students’ book trailers based on different William Steig books. During library over the past couple of months we engaged in a William Steig author study. As a final project, students used iMovie to create book trailers. They did a fabulous job!
We have an exciting opportunity for our 3rd – 5th graders! On March 9th, the author Jessica Day George is visiting Cory in order to discuss the writing process and her new published book, Saturdays at Sea. In a couple of weeks I will send home a pre-order form for her books. I will have many of her titles available in the library for sale. On the day of her visit she will do a book-signing for our students. The Tattered Cover is sponsoring this event for Cory. I am very grateful to them!
