Dear Cory Community,
I hope this email finds you all well and healthy. I continue to miss seeing our kids and teachers every day, but am also so very proud of the engagement of students through this new learning experience. Thank you families for supporting your students with online learning. We appreciate everyones efforts!
Next week, teachers will be closing out classrooms for the year. There will be one day next week that teachers will not hold office hours to provide time to properly close out classrooms for the year. Please look for information from your child’s teacher about what day office hours will not be held.

We have scheduled a date for parents to be able to pick up and drop off items from Cory. If you would like to pick up Lifetouch student/class pictures or personal belongings left at the school or drop off Chromebooks and cords for students leaving DPS and/or Library books, please plan on coming to the Cory parking lot to grab items. If you decide not to come to Cory that day, pictures will be mailed to families. A schedule will be sent out next week with pick-up times for each grade level.
DPS has decided to allow DPS students to hold on to school Chromebooks through the summer to support learning over the summer. If you are moving or your child will NOT be attending Cory (or a local Middle School) in August, please plan to return the technology on May 26. Additionally, please know that, because the school year is almost over, we will not be distributing/replacing any student technology this school year.
Library book drop off on Tuesday, May 12th from 9:00 – 1:00. Please come by Cory and drop off your library books in the bins placed outside the Cory cafeteria door. If you took books from classrooms, please return these books at the same location.
Music instruments can be dropped off on Tuesday, May 12th from 12-2. Please come by Cory and drop off your music instruments outside the Cory cafeteria door. If you took books from classrooms, please return these books at the same location.

We need your help! We have received our donation from Bonnie Plants for the Cory School Garden, and we need to get them planted! We also have a new delivery of mulch coming and need help spreading it.
Our goal for the garden and chicken program is first to support any Cory families experiencing food scarcity. We can do this anonymously and with great care. No questions asked, but first, we need to get things growing.
Please, if you could find time in your family’s schedule to helps, we would be grateful. We will continue to add slots as needed and ask for your support.
