Message from the Principal

Cory Caregivers,

For safety, we are asking all caregivers to buzz in and state the reason for visit.  We also ask for each caregiver to provide an ID when entering Cory. Thank you so much for your cooperation!

We have started the class placement process for the 2025-2026 School Year.  Our team has the opportunity to engage in a truly ‘Students First’  class placement protocol. In living the value of equity, our teachers and staff carefully placed students’ based on academic needs, behavior, social emotional needs, gender, ethnicity, identified students (MLL, SWD, H/GT) and the number of students in each class. All classrooms are staffed with high quality teachers and learning environments will be spaces for all students to thrive.

In alignment with SKCEE, it was our priority to ensure classes were balanced and equitable in terms of student need.

Please Note:

Fourth Grade:  This coming school year, fourth graders will possibly remain with their current class and teachers as they move into fifth grade, but we want to ensure that placements support students thriving and finding success. Every year is an opportunity to ensure each student has an environment they can thrive in.

It has always been our goal to carefully place each student in a classroom in which we will be able to support their learning. In order to intentionally do this work, we will be releasing classroom teacher assignments in August, after we have had time to thoughtfully plan your child’s placement.
