MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL |
Cory Families! Can you believe that there are only four more weeks before the end of the school year? Each year seems to fly by even faster than the previous ones. I must say in all my years in education, I have never experienced a Spring like this one. I am so appreciative of how hard the kids are working and modeling Cory’s Personal Success Factors during remote learning. I am so very proud of the efforts our teachers have made to continue teaching and learning! It is wonderful how students and teachers have continued to stay connected through Google Classroom and Google Meets. I would like to thank all of the incredible parents and community members who supported our school this year. The partnership that parents have with teachers and myself is one of the things that makes Cory such a fantastic school. Thank you to everyone who volunteered in classrooms, organized a community events or participated in the PTA and CSC. As we continue with four more weeks of remote learning, please let us know if there is anything we can do to support your students in staying engaged and with learning. Thank you for your continued support and engagement! Joan Wieser Principal |

Round 2 of the DPS SchoolChoice process for the 2020-21 school year is now open. Round 2 begins every year after families are notified of their Round 1 school placement, and ends in late August. Round 2 is the first-come, first-served segment of SchoolChoice for families who missed Round 1; took part in Round 1 but want to re-explore their options; or are new to DPS for next school year. Round 2 applications are available following Round 1 notifications by accessing your SchoolChoice account . Read below for more information. Who should submit a Round 2 SchoolChoice application? ● Families who did not take part in Round 1 and would like to change their student’s school. ● Families who have changed their mind since submitting a Round 1 application. If you are happy with your school placement following Round 1, you do not need to take part in Round 2. ● Please note: If your student was waitlisted at a school in Round 1, please DO NOT submit a Round 2 application to the same school, as your student already has a spot on the school’s waitlist. Please go to http://schoolchoice.dpsk12.org/schoolchoice-round-2/ for more information . |
