We love seeing our students lead the learning.
Students showcasing their learning.
Students showcasing their learning.
Students showing their learning and understanding through multiple methods.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Cory Families,

I want to thank our amazing community for a wonderful teacher appreciation week! The staff enjoyed the daily treats and the appreciation notes.  It truly made this week special.

Earlier DPS shared their thoughts for how the 21/22 school year will look. I also want to take a moment to share my hopes for next school year. I want students fully engaged in learning, collaborating and enjoying learning through authentic meaningful projects!  I am hoping that many things return back to what it looked like pre-covid (and have been planning with this in mind).  Our hope is that when you walk into Cory that it feels like a museum filled with artifacts of student learning and design thinking. Of course, we will still have health and safety at the forefront of all that we do. I will continue to plan for every protection to ensure the health and safety of our community.

    • WHEN: May 27th, 2021 @5:30 pm

COMMUNITY NEWS:

FROM MRS. HANOCK – EMPOWERMENT AFFILIATES

Empowerment Affiliates is a company that is working in tandem with EngagED Technology Solutions. Our focus is to build competencies and confidence to empower people by teaching life skills. From learning how to cook a delicious meal, to changing a tire, we are committed to do away with the victim mentality.

We believe that by taking risks, trying new things and learning from mistakes along the way, we can utilize the skills that we learn to become a bigger, stronger, more empowered version of ourselves.

Empowerment Affiliates offers several opportunities to this. First, Laura Hanock, teaches live, virtual cooking classes every Thursday. She teaches advanced knife safety and handling skills, so that we can all be more comfortable in the kitchen… If you would like to view a free knife safety training video, check it out at https://www.empowermentaffiliates.com/culinary-corner.

We know that time is a precious commodity. So, we also offer pre recorded videos for you to watch and rewind for sale or rent.

Staying connected is now more important than ever and it isn’t always easy to keep in touch in person. Empowerment Affiliates now offers Custom Private Events for all ages. Whether you are wanting to try out some painting skills for a girls night or plan a virtual party for your children, we will work with you and customize what you would like to create…From creating a simple craft with your littles, to trying your hand at woodworking, we would love to help build your creative muscles!

If you have suggestions or would like to see something specific added to our Live Events, we would love to hear from you!

Please stop by the website, sign up for upcoming news and events (EmpowermentAffiliates.com) and follow us on Instagram or Facebook (@empowerment_affiliates).
