MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hi Cory Families,
Thank you to the PTA and parent volunteers for helping put together our new picnic tables. We can’t wait to use them!
The Science Fair is coming to Cory in April! An informational packet is included in your child’s Friday Folder this week so students can work on their projects over Spring Break. Projects are due April 18th. Please contact Jenna Javernick (jenna_verde@dpsk12.net) if you have any questions.
Cory Science Fair judging will be on April 20th. Please join your child’s class on this day to view presentations. Your teacher will communicate the specific time in April. In class presentations will take place on April 18th and 19th.
The rubric (Practice Skills & Assessment) is included in your child’s packet. Please note, only students in grades 3-5 will have their projects scored by judges to be advanced to the district fair. The same rubric will be used by the school wide judges and the district fair judges. This will allow children to make modifications to projects based on teacher and judge feedback prior to the district science fair.
The top 3 finishers from grades 3-5 will be signed up to advance to the district Science Fair on April 30th at DU.
We hope your family will participate in this year’s Science Fair!
Have a wonderful weekend!
