MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Cory Families, 

I hope everyone is well. It was so wonderful to see so some of our community today for our first tech drop off. Our first step is to ensure that every student in grades 1-5 has access to their own computer while at home during this time. iPads will work, but please reach out to me over the break if something changes or their are issues on April 7.  I can work to secure a device from DPS and set up another tech pick-up.   Please help us by doing the following: 

  • If your child needs to borrow a Chromebook, please plan to come to Cory on Thursday, March  26 between 8:30 AM and 10:30 PM to pick up the device.  We have shorten the pick-up time based on the high volume of tech pick-up today and availability of tech. 
  • In order to support social distancing and the health of all involved, the plan for picking up computers will be as follows: 
    • Parents will drive up in the main parking lot, please follow signage to the first station to check-out and receive a technology waiver
    • Parents/family members will remain in their car. 
    • A Cory staff member will ask you for the student name and their teacher’s name. 
    • You will drive to the next station to pick-up the device. The staff member will bring the computer and charger to your car window.

Cory is not 1 to 1 so we do not have enough technology for all students.  Please only grab a device if you need one. If we run out of technology, we will work with DPS to secure those devices. On Friday, I will communicate Cory’s remote learning plan and what April 7th will entail.
