MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Cory Community,
Happy Friday! Budget season is here, and I am very excited to report that we do not have to make any staffing changes for next year and are fully funded to continue with the amazing programing we currently offer. This would not be possible without the incredible support or our PTA. Through their tireless fundraising efforts and your generosity we are able to ensure we can budget for all the things that make Cory special.

PARKING AT CORY
*  For the safety of our students, please remember there is no drop off in the Cory parking lot.  If you are using the parking lot for pick-up or drop-off, please find a parking space and walk your child inside the fenced area.  Please be mindful when backing up as we have had too many instances in where students and adults were almost hit by a car. We are seeing students being dropped in the middle of the lot and dashing across to the playground while parents are getting in a hurry and darting around cars.  We have seen inappropriate language and gestures to our staff who are working to ensure that the parking lot is safe.  This is an extremely dangerous situation that needs the communities partnership for the rest of the year.  I hope that we can be kind, considerate and mindful of driving behaviors moving forward.  If you want to drop off your student and go, please utilize the Kiss and Go on Iowa.

Have a wonderful long weekend and stay warm!
Best,
