Scholastic Book Fair Summary

Thank you to the Cory Community for your tremendous support of the 2015 Book Fair and a monstrous thank you to the many volunteers who contributed to the success of the fair.  What a great event to get more books into the community and to generate excitement about reading!

Congratulations to all of the bookmark contest winners, book report writers and winner of the eyeball guessing jar contest.   (Emily and Kaden Tosti guessed 162 and the actual number was 164!)  A special thank you goes out to Student Council who collected 5 large boxes of gently used books that were donated to DPS’s Florida Pitt Waller K-8 school.

Profits from this year’s fair are being used to purchase a Promethean Board for Mr. Melamed’s classroom and add some of the unpurchased teacher wish list books to classroom libraries.  The Cory Library will benefit from the remainder of the profits (a little over $700).

Thank you volunteers! please know that if we missed you on this list we still really appreciated your time!
