Cory Community,
Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time. We would like to continue to encourage everyone to do your part to get our community more healthy – wear masks, socially distance, wash your hands, keep your social groups very small. We all need to work together to stay safe and keep Cory open. I appreciate the partnership and support.
Our Cory Cougars are so resilient. Even with changes to their normal routines, they find joy in each and every opportunity. I appreciate the students doing their part to keep our school community safe.
I have a few meetings next week to problem solve the arrival and dismissal traffic patterns at Cory. I am excited the City Planning department is going to partner to ensure that our kids are safe during arrival and dismissal. I will share more information as it becomes available. I appreciate the Cory PTA encouraging parent volunteers during arrival and dismissal.
PARKING AT CORY
* For the safety of our students, please remember there is no drop off in the Cory parking lot. If you are using the parking lot for pick-up or drop-off, please find a parking space and walk your child inside the fenced area. We are seeing students being dropped in the middle of the lot and dashing across to the playground while parents are getting in a hurry and darting around cars. This is an extremely dangerous situation.
* Please do not park in the reserved spots, even for a short period of time, unless one of these two spots are yours. The families to whom these spots belong paid for these spots at last years auction. Please be considerate.
I appreciate the communities partnership in keep our students safe during high traffic times.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Best,
Joan Wieser

No test result can end an individual’s quarantine period earlier than 7 days. Isolation is never less than 10 days. For 14 days after exposure, regardless of quarantine length, people should watch for symptoms of COVID-19 and immediately self-isolate if they have become ill and contact their health care provider for follow up.
