MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hi Cory Families,
This is Ms. Hand the Principal for the day.
I wanted to share what I did as a principal today. I had to share the morning announcements, completed classroom walkthroughs, deliver phonics materials, supported some students in the classroom and created the Monday morning video for students. I had a great day and enjoyed seeing all the students working hard. Have a great weekend.
Best,
Ms. Hand
Student Principal
If you need to pick-up your child early from school, we are asking families to pick-up students before 3:00. We will not be dismissing any students after 3. We appreciate your cooperation and collaboration with early dismissals.
We will continue spending as much time as possible outdoors and implementing our safety protocols. Spending time outdoors has proven safer for Covid transmission than spending time indoors. We want to be sure your students come to school ready for all weather conditions and will support you in as many ways as possible. On snowy and cold days, please make sure your child has boots, hats, gloves and a coat as we will be outside even when it is chilly and snowy. If you have any clothing needs, we will work with you to find those needs to ensure that all students are prepared for the weather and being outdoors. If you have any extra clothing or boots that you can donate we are happy to accept the donations.
If you are interested in being a sub at Cory, please follow this link. Having an adequate number of subs will support keeping Cory open and not have to pivot too remote because of an operational closure. If you are interested and have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
DPS has updated the COVID 19 Screening and Testing Decision Tree. Please use this document to support any decision making with your students.
Have a wonderful weekend! We will see everyone back on Monday!
