Orange Friday!

Mayor Michael B. Hancock proclaimed Orange Friday in the City and County of Denver for tomorrow,  Friday, January 15, 2016, to support the Denver Broncos leading up to their Divisional round playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Mayor also announced additional ways the city and its partners are cheering on the Broncos.

“Here in Denver, we love our Broncos, and we show it with great pride every day of the year!” Mayor Hancock said. “ So break out your jeans and jerseys because its playoff time and Denver goes all out for our team to show the world that this is Broncos Country.”

Broncos fans in Denver, the region and throughout the state are encouraged to wear ORANGE TOMORROW advance of the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear your Bronco jerseys, the team colors and jeans on Friday. Fundraiser for Merrill School Student Facing Tragic Loss

Please help the Merrill Middle School Soccer Program support one our players and his family.  The mother of one of our eighth grade student athletes died in an auto accident on Thanksgiving morning.  The entire Merrill community is saddened by this loss and mourns with his family.  This boy, along with his brother and sister, are alone without a mother or father.  On Saturday, January 16th, the players from the boy’s and girl’s Merrill soccer teams will make a unique and delicious swirled pizza inspired fresh baked product.  These delicious “loaves of pizza” called Pizzrollos are being pre-sold now at the Great Harvest Bread Co. of Denver at 765 South Colorado Boulevard where the event will take place.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact soccer coach and Great Harvest owner Matt Salis at 303-204-1412 or msalis@greatharvest.com.  Thanks in advance for your support!
