MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Cory Families,
Happy Friday! I want to express my gratitude for our amazing community, staff and students. Each day, I am so thankful for the collaboration and partnership of all our stakeholders to make Cory an amazing school. Thank you for your support, dedication and voice to overcome the challenges this school year has thrown our way! It is a reminder that we are strong and resilient when we come together.
I wanted to reach out to our community to see if anyone has any interest in becoming a substitute teacher at Cory. If you are interested, please follow this link. Having an adequate number of subs will support keeping Cory open and not have to pivot too remote because of an operational closure. If you are interested and have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
DPS has updated the COVID 19 Screening and Testing Decision Tree. Please use this document to support any decision making with your students.
I have another huge ask for our community. If anyone who is fully vaccinated and have completed the volunteer process and would like to support recess/lunch duties, please let me know. Sometimes the request is last minute, but we would love to have a list of parents who are willing and able to support us during recess/lunch time if needed.

Discovery Link News
In order to better assist our families and respond to their feedback, we will be keeping registration for Enrichment Classes open until December 31st at 5pm. We still have openings in a number of classes!
Although it is months away, this warm December weather has us thinking about next Summer. For Summer 2022, ELCS will offer traditional Discovery Link summer camps, as well as the return of Enrichment Exploration Camps. Discovery Link summer camps will run from 6/13/22 – 8/5/22, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 7:00am – 5:30pm (with no camp on 7/4/22). Enrichment Exploration Camps will run the same dates from 7:30am – 5:30pm. Registration for camp will open in late January/early February – you will receive more information in the following weeks. We can’t wait to spend Summer in the City with you!
