MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Cory Families,

I hope everyone is well!  A handful of Cory artwork is on display again at the Eugene Field Library.  Be sure to stop in and see the amazing art that will be on display until mid-February.  Featured pieces include embroidery stitching on burlap, difference maker portraits, American Revolution stitching projects, sewn creatures, collages, landscapes, and more.

If you are interested in being a sub at Cory,  please follow this link. Having an adequate number of subs will support keeping Cory open and not have to pivot too remote because of an operational closure.  If you are interested and have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

DPS has updated the COVID 19 Screening and Testing Decision Tree.  Please use this document to support any

decision making with your students.

Don’t forget to check the lost and found! There is quite a collection of coats, gloves, hats, lunch boxes and much more!

Have a safe and healthy weekend! See you all on Tuesday!

If you are interested in supporting this year’s Spring Auction, please join the Cory PTA board for a kick off meeting on Thursday, January 20 at 7 p.m.!

We will discuss volunteer opportunities and identify people who would like to serve on committees that plan and manage various auction elements, including item procurement; event logistics; theme & decor; marketing & promotions; and technology management. There are large and small roles to play in this year’s auction, so please attend this meeting if you are interested in getting involved!

Parent Support Needed on January 21 & 26

Ms. Wilberg (our school psychologist intern) is planning for Ned’s Mindful Mission to present a schoolwide show on growth mindset! To host this show for no cost, the Cory PTA must sell some of Ned’s products afterschool on January 21 and 26. We are looking for a few parent volunteers to help manage the sales table.
