Cory Families,
To honor our amazing fifth grade class of 2020, we are inviting you to join us for a fun Drive-Through Car Parade! We will also be hosting a livestream of the 5th grade slideshow. There will be a speech from myself, former Cory student, teacher read-aloud and then photos of our 5th grade class. 5th Grade Continuation Live Stream will start at 4:00 https://stream.meet.google.com/stream/21f74c53-7f01-4296-9bcf-49583eafa019 before the car parade.
We are so proud of our fifth graders and we want to give them a send-off that they will remember.
When: Thursday, May 28th, from 6:00 to 6:30
Where: streets around Cory/Merrill
If you would like to join us during this special time to honor the Cory 5th graders, we ask that you follow all social distancing measures (no groups larger than 10 can congregate in one spot), wear masks, and please stay home if you are feeling ill. Families who would like to join may use the following streets to clap and cheer on the car parade celebration: families are welcome to stand on the sidewalks or park in your car on Monroe and Iowa, or to stand on the sidewalks of Steele (no parking on Steele). We are asking that no families stand or park on Florida as the Cory and Merrill staff will utilize that street and the staff parking lot. Below is the map of the parade route (yellow arrows) and there are also indications of which streets families may stand on to join the celebration.
We hope you can join us for this unique celebration of this wonderful class!
