Rainy LaVenture grew up in Oregon. She graduated from Brown University in Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, and moved to Denver in 2000, where she completed her teacher training with Stanley British Primary School and earned a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology at University of Colorado-Denver. She has taught fourth and fifth grade in DPS for twelve years, and is excited to be starting her fourth year at Cory, teaching fifth grade literacy. When she’s not at school, she is busy keeping up with her two young boys, working in her vegetable garden, spending time with her family, or curling up with a book!
