Discovery Link Families

This school year we expanded the number of sites that we offer full-day dismissal programming at, referred to as Discovery Day. Comparing registration numbers from last year to this year there has been an increase in registration which could indicate we are offering a service, you as our customer desires. Due to this we are looking at offering an expanded number of camp sites this summer. Please take the following survey to help us determine if we should follow this course of action. It will take you less than a minute and will give us valuable feedback.

Many thanks,
Discovery Link Team

Need Tour Volunteers

If you are interested in joining Cory’s tour team, we would love to have you! It’s roughly one hour a month and YOU set the time that works for you. We need volunteers to properly showcase our school. Please email Maria at mariadutmer@msn.com.

Choose Cory @ Checkout this Season!

As you prepare for the holidays, remember the two EASY ways you can benefit Cory without spending an extra cent! This year, our “Choose Cory @ Checkout” program includes two great options:

  • Safeway and King Soopers reloadable gift cards (available for purchase on the Cory website http://cory.dpsk12.org/supportcory/everyday-giving/)
  • the option to benefit Cory through use of the Benefit Mobile app.  Through Benefit Mobile, digital cards are purchased at no added cost and delivered within seconds to your mobile app for immediate in-store redemption. Each purchase earns up to a 20% rebate that is sent to the cause you choose (ahem, such as Cory Elementary!)

Learn more and download the app at https://www.benefit-mobile.com/
5% back may not sound like a lot, but it can ADD UP!  If the family of every Cory student used a Cory-connected gift card for just $100 of routine monthly purchases, Cory could raise over $21,000 this year!  Choose Cory @ Checkout, and support Cory without spending an extra cent!  For more on grocery cards and Benefit Mobile digital gift cards, visit Cory’s Choose Cory @ Checkout page.

SOUTH STUDENTS IMPACT DENVER’S CITY COUNCIL!

See below for a link to our amazing students helping to pass a Civil Rights Resolution with Denver City Council.
Our councilman, Paul Kashmann, supported us to make this happen!
South students had a unique and engaging opportunity last Monday, November 21st.

Here’s a paragraph from our City Council Representative, Paul Kashmann.

“Thank you so much for your participation in our Council resolution Monday night.
It was truly a pleasure to meet Marisa and her student contingent,
all of whom were bright, engaging and tolerant of being introduced to Councilperson after Councilperson. The presence of your students,
as well as Ms. Hanson’s fine statement, added a needed bit of gravitas to what otherwise would have been an evening of words with little real world grounding.
Watch the video of the meeting. The portion devoted to the social justice proclamation begins at 36:10.
After that is a proclamation declaring Denver a Compassionate City.

Regards,
Paul Kashmann, Denver City Council, District 6
