Message from the Principal
Cory Families,
I am thrilled to share highlights from our recent week of learning at Cory, where our Collaborative School Committee (CSC) and School Leadership Team (SLT) have been working diligently to create a comprehensive budget for the upcoming school year. Our primary goal is to maximize support for our students and enhance their educational experience.
Our commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment remains strong, and we are excited about the potential new initiatives and resources that will be available next year. We believe that by investing strategically in our programs, we can further empower our students to reach their full potential.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Together, we can create a brighter future for our students at Cory Elementary!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Some Gentle Reminders for the school year
1. Cell phones and smart watches are not allowed in school. They may be kept in back packs. If you need to get in touch with your child, then please contact the front office
2. School begins at 8:15. With the tardy bell ringing at 8:20
3. If a student is late they must come into the front office and get signed in taking a tardy slip with them to class.
4. We go outside every day we can. Please make sure your children have the correct clothing coats, hats and boots if needed on cold weather days.
5. Students have a snack during the day with their class. Please try and remember to pack a daily snack.
6. If you are picking up your student early you must come into the building to the office and sign them out. This is for their safety along with ours to ensure we know where all students are all day. We prefer you are here before 2:45 to check out your students. We understand there are times when this is not possible as emergencies happen. When you arrive to pick up your student we will call the classroom to have your child come to the front to meet you, we do not want students sitting in the office waiting for their parents.
7. School is over at 3:20. If you have not picked up your students by 3:30 they will be waiting in the front office for you.
8. Sometimes the lunch menu changes in the cafeteria due to food not being delivered on time to the warehouse. We try to keep the menu consistent with what they say. Please understand Food Services is doing everything they can to provide the best meals to our students. Please feel free to call Food Services with questions or concerns. 720-423-5600.
9. Please do not send your student to school sick.
10. Please ensure your student has money in their lunch account if they want to purchase lunch or a second milk.
11.Please pack healthy snacks for the students to eat during the snack break.
12. On P.E. days, please make sure your child is wearing shoes appropriate for P.E.
13.Please do not park in the handicap spots unless you have a handicap pass that is registered to you and your car.
14. Please do not use the small parking lot for pick up or drop off of any students.
15.Please do not park in the Reserved family spots at any time even after school lets out as families can be picking up students later and have purchased those spots for anytime!
16.. Please do not stop in the middle of the parking lot to drop off kids.
The Winter BESS Social-Emotional Screener opens 12/21 for parents. PLEASE complete this survey (it takes only a few minutes) for your child. This parent survey is required to be completed by all 1st-2nd grader students, and highly encouraged for 3rd-5th graders. The class and grade level with the most parent completion for the Winter BESS will be rewarded!
