 Message from the Principal

Cory Families,

I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to share with you the wonderful experiences our students had during this past week at school. It has been a truly exciting time filled with engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and opportunities for creative expression.

Throughout the week, students participated in various tasks and texts that encouraged them to think critically and collaborate with their peers. They engaged in lively discussions, analyzing texts and sharing their insights, which helped deepen their understanding of the material. It was fantastic to see them supporting their ideas with evidence and fostering a culture of respectful dialogue.

In addition to discussions, students worked on problem-solving activities that challenged them to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions. They embraced these challenges with enthusiasm and creativity, finding joy in the learning process.

We are proud of the progress our students are making and the positive energy they bring to the classroom each day. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn are truly inspiring!

Thank you for your continued support at home. We encourage you to talk with your child about their experiences this week and the skills they are developing. Together, we can celebrate their growth and encourage their love for learning.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Some Gentle Reminders for the school year

1. Cell phones and smart watches are not allowed in school. They may be kept in back packs. If you need to get in touch with your child, then please contact the front office

2. School begins at 8:15. With the tardy bell ringing at 8:20

3. If a student is late they must come into the front office and get signed in taking a tardy slip with them to class.

4. We go outside every day we can. Please make sure your children have the correct clothing  coats, hats and boots if needed on cold weather days.

5. Students have a snack  during the day with their class. Please try and remember to pack a daily snack.

6. If you are picking up your student early you must come into the building to the office and sign them out. This is for their safety along with ours to ensure we know where all students are all day. We prefer you are here before 2:45 to check out your students. We understand there are times when this is not possible as emergencies happen. When you arrive to pick up your student we will call the classroom to have your child come to the front to meet you, we do not want students sitting in the office waiting for their parents.

7. School is over at 3:20. If you have not picked up your students by 3:30 they will be waiting in the front office for you.

8. Sometimes the lunch menu changes in the cafeteria due to food not being delivered on time to the warehouse. We try to keep the menu consistent with what they say. Please understand Food Services is doing everything they can to provide the best meals to our students. Please feel free to call Food Services with questions or concerns. 720-423-5600.

9. Please do not send your student to school sick.

10. Please ensure your student has money in their lunch account if they want to purchase lunch or a second milk.

11.Please pack healthy snacks for the students to eat during the snack break.

12. On P.E. days, please make sure your child is wearing shoes appropriate for P.E.

13.Please do not park in the handicap spots unless you have a handicap pass that is registered to you and your car.

14. Please do not use the small parking lot for pick up or drop off of any students.

15.Please do not park in the Reserved family spots at any time even after school lets out as families can be picking up students later and have purchased those spots for anytime!

16.. Please do not stop in the middle of the parking lot to drop off kids.
