Message from the Principal

Cory Families,

In our ever-changing world, it’s more important than ever to create a safe and welcoming environment for all our students, regardless of their race, religion, or background. Our school is committed to being a place where every child feels valued and celebrated. We believe that diversity enriches our community, and together we can work towards a more inclusive atmosphere.

To support this mission, we encourage families to engage in open conversations at home about the importance of kindness and respect for everyone. Here are some strategies to promote understanding and prevent hate language:

  1. Model Respectful Language: Use inclusive language in your conversations, demonstrating the importance of treating everyone with dignity.
  2. Encourage Open Dialogue: Create a safe space for your children to discuss their thoughts and feelings about diversity and inclusion. Encourage them to ask questions and express their views.
  3. Teach Empathy: Share stories and experiences that highlight the value of different perspectives. This can foster empathy and understanding.
  4. Address Hate Language: If your child encounters hate language at school or online, encourage them to speak up and report it. It’s essential to address such behaviors promptly.
  5. Celebrate Diversity: Participate in cultural events and discussions that celebrate various traditions and backgrounds. This helps build appreciation for our community’s richness.

By working together, we can ensure that our school remains a safe haven for all students. Thank you for your continued support in making our community a welcoming place for everyone.

This month’s words are emulate, foliage, decorously, luxuriate.
