Parent Satisfication Surveys…We Value Your Input!

Posted April 28, 2016

Dear Cory Community,

A few weeks ago you should have received the annual DPS Parent Satisfaction Survey in your child’s Friday Folder. We are writing to encourage you to take a few minutes and fill it out.  Not only do the surveys give our staff  important parental feedback, but they are also a component of the School Performance Framework (SPS).

Cory has historically received the highest rating of “Distinguished” through the School Performance Framework.  Being recognized in this manner is an honor and recognizes the hard work that our  students, staff and parents and community contribute to our school.  It also helps foster an overall positive impression of our school.

The satisfaction survey results count for a percentage of the total ranking score. We receive points based on how parents respond to the questions, but also for simply turning in completed surveys. Last year, we increased our percentage from 50% to 59% of our Cory Families responding to the survey and we would love to increase this to 100% (we can do it!).

Whether or not you have an outgoing 5th Grader or not returning to Cory in the fall, your survey still counts towards our score, so please fill it out.

As an incentive to complete the survey, classrooms that have the highest percentage of participation will receive a PIZZA PARTY!   Once you complete the survey, please fill out the form attached to the survey so your child’s class can receive credit.

NOTE:  You only need to return one form per family and all of your children’s classrooms will get credit ☺

Below are our current percentages of participation:

Mrs. Clark-56%
Mr. Doyle-56%
Mrs. Fuchs-65%
Mrs. Golden-62%
Mrs.Guerrero/Ms. Brown-60%
Mrs. Keldin-50%
Mrs. Keppler-77%
Ms. Kozma-50%
Mrs. Laventure- 44%
Ms. McOwen-46%
Mr. Melamed- 86%
Osborn-73%
Stricker-96%
Vertrees-65%
Wing-65%

Completed surveys can be returned in your child’s folder, dropped off at school or mailed to DPS.

Thank you for partnering with our school.  Please contact me with any questions.
