Cory Caregivers,
We had a busy and fun-filled week at Cory!
Our 5th Grade Cory Café and Art Show was a huge success. Thank you to Mrs. Elias and Mrs. Plate for organizing this amazing opportunity for our students. We love seeing students perform songs they know and love while showcasing their incredible talents and creativity.
The PTA also hosted a fun school dance, and it was wonderful to see so many families coming together to celebrate the end of the school year. Thank you to our PTA and all of the volunteers who made this event so special and enjoyable for everyone.
A big thank you as well to Mr. C for hosting such a wonderful and fun Field Day! Students demonstrated great sportsmanship, kindness, and teamwork throughout the day, and it was a joy to watch.
Thank you all for your continued support and engagement in these events. Your involvement truly makes Cory such a special community!
This is a reminder that students must walk—not ride—their bikes, scooters, e-bikes, and roller skates while on the blacktop. This expectation is in place to help keep all students, staff, and community members safe. If a student rides instead of walks these items on the blacktop, families will be contacted, and a parent or guardian will need to pick up the bike, scooter, e-bike, or roller skates from school. Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain a safe school environment.
Today was the soft opening of Cougar Coffee, and it was a tremendous success! Nichol Somers and Skeeter partnered together to create this meaningful opportunity for students to practice important life skills, communication, math, and literacy skills in a real-world setting. Cougar Coffee also highlights the importance of inclusivity and honoring the unique strengths and abilities of all of our students. Cougar Coffee will be open every Thursday morning for coffee and pastries to be purchased for $1 each - cash only.
It was wonderful to see students engaged, confident, and excited throughout the experience. We are so proud of everyone involved and grateful to the staff who helped make this opportunity possible. We are excited to continue growing Cougar Coffee next year and look forward to all the opportunities it will provide for our students and school community.
