Cory Caregivers,
As we head into spring break, I want to take a moment to celebrate our incredible school community and express our deep gratitude for your continued support.
Thank you for believing in our students and our mission. Your partnership—whether through volunteering, attending events, advocating for your child, or simply showing up with love and encouragement—makes all the difference. Together, we are creating a place where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to learn and grow.
Special thanks to our PTA for their generous funding of tumble mats for Mr. C's classroom! This kind of support directly impacts our students' learning experiences and enriches their time at Cory. We are so grateful for your creativity, energy, and commitment to providing diverse learning opportunities for all our students.
We hope you enjoy a restful, joyful spring break filled with time together, relaxation, and fun. You've earned it! When we return, we'll finish this year strong. Thank you for being part of the Cory community. Your support of our students and staff means everything!
At Cory, we work to maintain a zero tolerance policy regarding students using or carrying cell phones and other personal electronic devices, including smartwatches and gadgets, during school hours. These devices are prohibited because they create interference with instruction and privacy, and they may impede school safety during an actual emergency. This is not a new policy!
Storage and Use Guidelines:
Backpacks Only: If a student needs a cell phone for after-school communication, the device must remain on silent inside their backpack or in a designated classroom storage bag at all times during the school day. Teachers’ have a safe space to keep students devices during the day, if you are worried about them getting lost.
Recess and Lunch: This prohibition extends to recess and lunch blocks; no electronics may be used during these times.
Arrival: Upon entering school grounds, all phones and watches must be stored away.
Consequences for Violations:
First Offense: The device will be confiscated by a staff member and returned to the student at the end of the school day with a warning.
Second Offense: The device will be confiscated, and it will be necessary for a parent or guardian to come to the school to retrieve it.
Third Offense: A meeting with the parent/guardian will be held to address the ongoing behavior, and the student may face a temporary suspension of technology privileges.

Share Your Cory Memories!
We’re collecting photos for the 2025–26 Cory Yearbook and need your help! Upload your favorite pictures from school events, classroom fun, and Cory celebrations. It’s easy — just visit https://books.yearbooks.me/ca/3r54megdwut898hesercck5w9xgmswg6p and use the code Pics4Cory! to submit. Let’s fill the yearbook with all the amazing moments that make Cory special!

Our goal is that students leave Cory not only academically prepared but emotionally literate—able to repair harm, build healthy relationships, and contribute positively to their communities. Education coupled with consistent, supportive measures is what helps students internalize these skills and reduce incidents like bullying.
