MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Cory Families!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is well.  We are excited to virtually begin school tomorrow. Our goal is to start small and hopefully not overwhelm you or your children. We will aim to start slow in order to go faster in the near future.  We ask for your patience as we roll this out, and at the same time we value your input and feedback.  Please communicate with your child’s teacher, our support staff, and me in regards to your needs and questions. I will send a feedback survey on Friday to get families perspective of this new platform.

By today, you will receive an email from your child’s teacher(s) with the expectations for our first week of Remote Learning which begins Tuesday, April 7th.  We aim to have all lessons and activities start no later than 9 am each morning, so that your student can begin to work on his/her assignments and engage in the learning in a structured manner.  Each teacher will be available to support with any questions.

If you are struggling with technology, please reach out to our tech team to support.  There are only 3 staff members so please be patient as we try to accommodate families and requests from 8:45-10:00. Dawn Miller 720-598-0923 or Alison Walker 720-577-4344 or Amber Bourgeois720-551-9785
I will hold two Community Information sessions on April 7.  I will provide an overview of online learning at Cory, support services, and attendance policy. There is a 250 seat limit in our virtual meeting space so please limit to one screen per family.  These sessions will not provide specific classroom information so both sessions will have the same information.

We know there will be successes as well as headaches.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.  Thank you for your patience and understanding, and know our goal is to support every student through this new learning.Best,
