Jennifer Ferguson

Music Teacher

Jennifer Ferguson has been teaching music in various capacities since the age of 15. She was born in Massachusetts and lived all over the world with her family before her undergraduate degree in Music Education at Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame. She then moved to Colorado 13 years ago to teach music in Aurora before earning her Master of Music degree in conducting from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. Jennifer has directed all kinds of performing ensembles, from choir and orchestra to jazz band and musicals, and she has also been a guest conductor for the Poudre District Honor Choir and the Arvada Honor Choir. In addition to teaching music at Cory, Jennifer is the music director and conductor of the Colorado Women’s Chorale and the Colorado Men’s Chorale, two auditioned (and super fun!) community ensembles. The Chorales have traveled to Australia and New York and are planning future trips to Greece and Carnegie Hall.

Jennifer lives in Centennial with her two kiddos, Patrick and Samantha. She loves teaching, singing, animals, card games, cooking, eating, and anything to do with music. Stop by the music room downstairs at Cory to say hello!
