| Hello Cory Families, Cory PTA’s annual direct giving campaign, Friends of Cory, is off and running. To date, we have raised $11,600 towards our goal of $70,000 and achieved 12% family participation! Thank you to those of you who have already contributed! If you have not yet given, please consider making your gift today. The FOC committee has decided to offer the grade with the highest % of participating families during the campaign this year a pizza party for the grade. Your generosity ensures our students at Cory Elementary have access to many resources including full-time Specials. As part of the curriculum this year, specials are being integrated into the classroom. This year, 1st graders will be producing a musical with the planned intention of performances focussed on storytelling and friendship. They will be working with Ms. Ferguson as well as their homeroom teachers for this performance. In addition, they will be working with Ms Alexander and Ms Miller on a Magnificent Thing project. Without the generosity of the Cory Community, we would not be able to have this integration for 1st grade this year. Please make your tax-deductible gift today.
