Principal Update

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you for attending the Parent Teacher Conference this past week.  Having a partnership with all of you is critical to your child’s educational success.  We enjoyed meeting with you in person to update you on the fantastic things your child is learning here at Cory.  A special “shout out” to the parents who made dinner for our staff this past Tuesday evening.  The food was incredible and my team was very appreciative of the time and energy it took to create such a lovely dinner.  Thank you!

Here’s to a great weekend ahead…Halloween and Daylight Savings Time!

In partnership,

Jennifer Harris, Principal

We’ll discuss the shared learning expectations, or standards, that we have as a district and what they mean at Cory.

Cory Fall Grounds Clean Up! … Save the Date!
Sunday, November 15, 2015
9:00am – 1:00pm

Fall is in the air, and that means its time to … jump in leaf piles with your classmates! Families, please join us on Sunday, November 15 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to give our school a good fall cleaning. We’ll be raking leaves, placing mulch, and giving our outdoor space some TLC. Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to join in the fun, and hours are flexible – come when you are able! As an incentive to early birds, we’ll have donuts on hand from 9:00 until they run out… We’ll also have some tools on hand but please BYORGCaOGT (Bring Your Own Rake, Gloves, Clippers and Other Gardening Tools) if you are able to, so that we have enough to go around. Extension cords will be available, so power tools are also encouraged. Please watch for a Sign Up Genius link in next week’s Parent Post so we know how many people to expect. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on Nov 15!

News from the Art Room

This week a piece of your child’s artwork will be coming home in their Friday Folder, with the opportunity to have this artwork printed on items such as tote bags, magnets, and more.  A percentage of the orders will come back to the art room to purchase additional art supplies for students.  Please check out this fun opportunity.  Additional information will be included with the artwork. Thank you from the art room!
