Councilman Kashmann and Mayor Michael B. Hancock are making an appearance, too! Allow yourself some time to get to school – The festivities will begin at 8:15! Come dressed warmly!! Festivities will take place rain or shine!!
STOCK THE LOUNGE - 1ST GRADE
Calling all 1st Grade Families – Stock the Teacher’s Lounge!
Every month we ask a different grade to bring in healthy snacks and drinks to keep our teachers fueled up during their busy days. Please help us by bringing one of the following in: granola/protein/cereal bars, mini muffins, crackers, cookies, popcorn, beef jerky, individual drinks (sparkling water, iced tea, Izzy’s, etc.), and coffee/tea K-cups. Please bring individual packages and no nuts!
Drop your donation off: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 8:20 – 8:45 am, sofas at the main entrance
We will also have notecards if you’d like to write a message thanking your teachers! Please email Naurin Gilger (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Debbie Fimple (email@example.com) with any questions. Thank you for supporting our great Cory teachers and staff!
CSC FALL FORUM
The CSC is excited to host its Fall Forum for parents only this Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 6 – 7 pm. The Fall Forum will provide an informal opportunity to learn more about a variety of topics, including learning about the CSC, the PTA, parent involvement, Cory’s GT Magnet status, facility maintenance, roles of Joan and Liz this year, teacher support, lunch protocols, homework policy, technology use at school and more. Our principal Joan Wieser will provide a brief introduction, followed by informal breakout topic tables. The Fall Forum is intended to provide a more details about Cory to new and existing families, in a more informal setting than Back to School Night. Pizza will be provided.
